Kickboxer's Tears - Moon Lee, Billy Chow, Yukari Oshima, Kenneth Lo, Mark Cheng
4/5
A very good action piece with a huge Muay Thai boxing match between Chow and Ken Lo in the beginning that lasts more than 7 minutes. Moon Lee fights Chow twice and Oshima once, the latter being a small fight. The end scene is really lame. But for such a low budget film, it was very good, though if you don't like kickboxing you won't find much of interest here. But if you like set matches, you'll enjoy this.
Kids from Shaolin - Jet Li, Yu Hai, many wushu players from the other Shaolin movies
4/5
Extremely boring in the beginning, some small fights with kids which are token fights and mean nothing, and an Arab that comes in and fights for no reason. The wushu is great of course but the fights are nothing to rave about. Until the end that is. The end is over 10 minutes long and has EVERYONE involved, talk about a finale. Fights everywhere, but a more interesting story, more handwork in the fights, more Yu Hai in the finale, and more intense choreography would have made this a 5.
Knockabout - Yuen Biao, Lau Ka Wing, Leung Ka Yan, Sammo Hung, Lee Hoi San, many others
5/5
A classic. Biao, Sammo, and Wing are all in extremely good shape and top form. Wing looks like an old man and really fooled me. All of them, including Yan who doesn't do much kicking, are agile and move very well. Too many fights to speak of, all of which are long. Biao and Sammo team up and use the monkey style to beat Wing, who uses a snake style with his pipe as defense, at the end and it's exhausting, yet wildly entertaining. Anyone and everyone will love this movie. Good training sequences too.
