Eat My Dust!!
Review
Format: Dubbed DVD
Stars: Michael Tsang, Mark NG, Cynthia Lam

Some guys kill a kid's dad and he takes revenge after his friend raises him.

I saw this movie at Tower Records on DVD a while back for $20. I thought, "How bad can it be?" So I bought it in Chinatown for $15. It sucks, here are 26 reasons why:

1. The characters are boring and this guy Frog, who raises the other, is annoying.
2. Cynthia Lam IS NOT A WORTHY SUBSTITUTE FOR CYNTHIA KHAN. SHE SUCKS!!!
4. The undercranking is atrocious in the GUN FIGHTS.
5. THEY UNDERCRANKED PEOPLE WALKING AROUND TO MAKE THEM LOOK AGILE!!!
6. The dubbing sucks in the dubbed version (this one).
7. The fights are short and bland, with hand movements you'd see in a new Van Damme movie.
8. These 2 guys play the worst stooges I've ever seen (they didn't play the stooges intentionally either, they just act like them).
9. I cheered when Wendy Ho (Cyn. Lam) got shot just because I didn't have to watch her fight the last guy.
10. The last guy fights the 2 other guys and the whole thing is undercranked.
11. THE LAST GUY FIGHT IS THE ONLY FIGHT WITHIN THE LAST 30 MINUTES OF THE MOVIE.
12. Cynthia Lam commits an HK Action taboo: shoots a VERY WORTHY AND AGILE opponent instead of fighting him (she's such a wimp).
13. It's worse than Crystal Hunt.
14. I didn't give a damn about the characters.
15. Eric Tsang was the only good actor in the movie and his part lasted for 25 seconds.
16. Uncle So (the landlord) has a solo with a staff and he has a double and he does stupidly impossible moves, thanks to the "camera facing the sky" technique.
17. When there was ONE good stunt (a guy falls through 2 canopies onto some tires), THEY CUT OUT THE PART WHERE HE HITS THE TIRES AND THEY DO AN ACTOR CHANGE.
18. There are more stonewashed jeans in this movie than in every 80's music video combined.
19. The wirework they used is so insanely dumb that I closed my eyes.
20. The plot was serious.
21. The gun fights are like this: 20 guys enter room, good guy lays out 10, other good guy lays out 10, and then Wendy lays out 10, AND THERE ARE STILL 20 GUYS LEFT!!!!!!! THAT DOESN'T ADD UP!!
22. Cynthia Lam drives a stunt car so badly I choked, while at the same time 15 people are shooting every kind of ammunition known to man at her, yet not ONE bullet grazes the paint.
23. The camera angles remind me of The Blair Witch Project.
24. The film was shaking up and down about 25% of the time, leaving a blur on the screen.
25. No, these women aren't attractive, except for Uncle So's daughter, who gets 2 minutes on screen.
26. Half way through the film, I didn't care anymore and just tried to find something good but came out with nothing EXCEPT TWO THINGS!!:

The first fight, which is undercranked, actually looks decent.
The last fight, which is also undercranked, also actually looks decent.

I'll be sure to get clips of these decent scenes. I'll attempt to get rid of this DVD by any means possible. I'd go as far as telling someone that it's a Jackie Chan (directed) movie they've never heard of.

Rating: 0/10 (Those 2 fights didn't cut it.)

UPDATE 10/9 - Rating System Change

0/5 - Don't get this.
