Format: Subtitled VHS
Stars: Moon Lee, Yukari Oshima, Sibelle Hu, others

After Bullet (Oshima) is released from jail, Chinny (Moon Lee) meets up with her and they take on some bad guys who used their friend as a whore in a movie.

The Tai Seng VHS release of this is aweful. Even though it's subtitled, it's still so aweful and the color is bad, the picture is bad, the tape is jumpy at times, the sound is muffled and very low volume, and I think I've decided never to buy anything these guys make ever again. Only VCDs or original tapes for me. But anyways...

Sibelle Hu doesn't do anything great in this. The first scene has her in a gun fight, and whenever she's gonna go jumping away from gunfire doing back handsprings or even doing a small roll, they show her face in a closeup moving to the side, and then cut to her double doing handsprings. That's bad. I couldn't stand her from then on knowing she was only doing the looking and not doing. This scene doesn't have much besides shooting and her partner's tiny fight in a kitchen that lasts 3 seconds.

Moon Lee and some other woman do a very fast training fight in a gym. They're both so fast, with fast kicks, blocks, punches, and they don't just stand the whole time but occasionally get down on the ground and go at it. Lee's opponent even seems to stand in the Wong Fei Hung open-hands stance once! Good stuff, brought my hopes up. Lasted more than a minute too.

Moon Lee and Oshima have a 30 second fight against 5 or so guys on a street who all have metal pipes. Nothing special but they know how to do their stuff. Good kicks again, and Lee really seems to get into it. After that they go into a pool room (??) and have a similar fight that lasts about as long. These aren't great fights, again, but all the participants seem to know what they're doing.

Sibelle Hu has 2 more encounters, which I wasn't so excited about. One is at an outdoor restaurant where her double does some more acrobatics, the other on the street where she does everything on her own. Her kicks are weak and her body isn't fast enough to look realistic, unlike Lee or Oshima. Something tells me that she shouldn't have even been in this movie.

Again, Lee and Oshima fight the same people, this time in an alley, and it's even shorter than before. Yea they're still good fighters though.

The two of them double team on a guy, who seems fake for some reason, inside his house and have some good techniques like both of them blocking one of his kicks and doing offense at the same time, but it's short. After that they fight the gang once again in a mall, and even though the kickboxing is still pretty good, there are almost NO stunts at all. Some guy jumps onto a table and breaks it and another one rolls down the thing between escalators (fake) but that's about it. The leader is convincing but I felt like he didn't know what he was doing.

*Yawn* Oshima has a slomo fight (while holding a big knife) and kills a few guys and then gets shot. One guy does a good kick on her (see pic).

Ok, finally, the last fight. Mostly a gun fight between Sibelle Hu and some other guys. But Moon Lee has an extremely impressive fight against another girl and they do stuff that looks like it came straight out of Beijing Wu Shu! They're both fast (with no undercranking), and the blocks are interesting instead of just putting a hand up or something. Ah the other highlight of the movie. Very good, until the white girl comes in and screws the entire thing up and looks so ugly I wanted to punch the screen. Add this to the SAME music that they used in Crystal Hunt and you can imagine the horror. You know how I feel about ugly white women taking part in fights. Oh well, the good part lasted more than a minute. I wonder why they did this!? Almost every other fight was short (except the mall one which was maybe 2 minutes with lots of non-fighting in between), but this and the first one, which were the only girl vs girl fights AND the only good ones, were long and impressive. Oh well, it basically made me take Moon Lee as a kickboxing queen. Oshima didn't get anything great and I wanted her to have one fight with Lee. The last fight, where Lee fights the gang boss, is 14 seconds long and is cut short by Hu blowing a hole in the guy's leg. Hate it when they do stuff like this.

Well, this could have been great. Moon Lee and Oshima vs a bunch of girls (not white ones, unless it's the one from The Death Games), no men unless they're good (almost every guy in this looks like a nobody except for the police officer, seriously), no Sibelle Hu unless she does no action, no Crystal Hunt music (which happens during many fights), and no guns. Just good kickboxing would have been nicer. But the two really good fights prevented this from being a 2, but it's not enough to be a 4, so

3/5
